These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Steward, a household financial organization service operated by Field Runtime LLC ("Steward," "Field Runtime," "we," "us," or "our"). By affirmatively accepting these Terms when creating or connecting an account, you agree to them.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy applies when Steward handles medical bills or other consumer health data.

1. Eligibility and geographic scope
You must be at least 18 years old, reside in the United States, and be legally able to enter into these Terms. Steward is not currently offered for independent use by minors or for use outside the United States.
Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You may use household information only when you have the right to do so. Being related to someone does not automatically authorize you to access or submit all of that person's records.
2. What Steward provides
Steward helps you organize selected household financial information, understand changes, maintain a living household plan, and keep unfinished financial matters moving toward a verified outcome. Depending on the features available to you, Steward may:
- organize bills, expenses, income, goals, credits, reimbursements, subscriptions, insurance, school costs, and medical-billing obligations;
- compare selected documents and preserve source references;
- create and maintain a Case, including what is known, what remains unknown, the next step, approvals, evidence, and outcome status;
- prepare household briefs and planning views;
- remember corrections, preferences, and prior decisions;
- prepare recommendations or action handoffs for Muse or another connected service; and
- receive returned results and determine whether available evidence supports completion.
The completeness of Steward's output depends on the information supplied. A household picture may be partial. An estimate is not a confirmed bill, and a monthly planning amount is not necessarily an amount due during a specific period.
3. Steward, Muse, and external actions
Steward itself does not hold funds, provide a bank account, transfer money, or independently exercise authority over your accounts. Steward may prepare an action for your review and, after explicit approval, provide a bounded handoff to Muse or another supported service.
Muse or another connected service may separately attempt an approved action, such as navigating a provider website or requesting a cancellation. That action is governed by the connected service's terms, capabilities, and permissions. A request, recommendation, approval, attempted action, provider acknowledgment, promised credit, and verified outcome are different states.
Steward does not treat an action as complete merely because it was requested or reported. When outcome verification is supported, Steward requires appropriate evidence before changing the Case to completed or updating the household plan as though the outcome occurred.
If an action times out or its result is uncertain, Steward may preserve the state as unknown and request evidence rather than repeat an action that could create a duplicate payment, cancellation, or request.
4. Your information and permissions
You retain the rights you have in documents and other content you provide. You grant Field Runtime a limited, non-exclusive permission to host, process, reproduce, derive structured information from, and display that content as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, and improve the Steward service you request. This permission includes processing by authorized service providers and exchanging selected information with Muse or another connected service when necessary for the task you request.
This permission is subject to our Privacy Policy, Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, and any separate consent required for consumer health data. It is not a transfer of ownership.
Do not submit passwords, payment-card security codes, unnecessary government identifiers, malicious files, or information you are not authorized to share.
5. Medical bills and health information
Steward may help organize medical bills, insurance explanations of benefits, payment plans, reimbursements, and related household financial matters. Steward is not a healthcare provider and does not diagnose, treat, prescribe, or provide emergency services.
Do not use Steward to communicate urgent medical information or make clinical decisions. Call 911 or an appropriate medical professional for an emergency. Steward's handling of the financial administration associated with healthcare does not create a physician-patient relationship or guarantee that Field Runtime is a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate.
Consumer health data is governed by the separate notice and permissions described in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. General acceptance of these Terms is not a substitute for a separate affirmative health-data consent where one is required.
6. Review results and make your own decisions
Software and AI services can misread a document, associate the wrong records, classify information incorrectly, or provide an incomplete explanation. Review important amounts, dates, providers, source references, recommendations, and approval requests. Use correction controls or contact us when something is wrong.
Steward's description as a "household CFO" refers to an organizational assistant. Steward does not create an accountant-client, investment-adviser, fiduciary, attorney-client, insurer, healthcare-provider, or other regulated professional relationship. Steward does not provide professional investment, tax, legal, credit, insurance, accounting, or medical advice.
You remain responsible for consequential financial decisions and for confirming actual obligations and account status with the relevant provider. We do not guarantee savings, income, investment performance, a complete financial picture, receipt of a credit, successful cancellation, payment of a bill, or any particular provider response.
7. Connected platforms
Using Steward through Muse or another connected platform may require a separate account and agreement with that platform. Its availability, interface, actions, and independent data handling are governed by its own terms and policies.
You authorize Steward to receive and return information within the connection for a task you request. This is not blanket authorization for unrelated access or action. Disconnecting a platform does not automatically cancel a paid service, close your Steward account, or delete information independently retained by either service.
8. Free launch and future paid plans
Steward is free for a limited launch period. We may later offer free features, trials, or paid plans.
Before you buy a paid plan, we will clearly present its price, included usage, billing frequency, renewal terms, cancellation method, refund terms, taxes, and other material purchase conditions. Expressing interest in a price, using a free feature, connecting Steward, or accepting these general Terms does not authorize a charge.
A subscription begins only after you affirmatively agree to the applicable purchase terms. We will not automatically convert an existing free account into a paid subscription without the agreement required by law. More specific purchase terms will control that purchase if they conflict with this section.
9. Acceptable use
Use Steward lawfully and within the access and usage limits presented to you. You must not:
- access or attempt to access another user's records without authorization;
- evade security, approval, identity, or rate-limit controls;
- upload malicious code or disrupt the service;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent authority;
- use Steward to facilitate fraud, unlawful discrimination, harassment, or illegal activity;
- use Steward to make employment, credit, housing, insurance, healthcare, or similarly consequential eligibility decisions about another person; or
- use a recommendation or technical output as fabricated evidence that an action or payment occurred.
10. Ownership
Field Runtime and its licensors retain rights in Steward's software, branding, documentation, and service materials, excluding your content. We grant you a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable permission to use Steward for its intended household purpose while you comply with these Terms.
Components made available under an open-source license remain governed by that license.
11. Service changes and availability
Features may change, be interrupted, or be unavailable. We may use limits, waiting periods, review requirements, or feature flags to protect users and the service. We do not promise that every provider, document, Muse action, or requested workflow will be supported.
To the extent permitted by law, Steward is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, completeness, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. This does not exclude a warranty or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using Steward and request account closure or deletion by contacting support@fieldruntime.ai. If paid plans are introduced, cancellation will also be available through the method disclosed for the purchase.
We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to address a security concern, unlawful activity, material violation of these Terms, or risk to another person. When reasonable and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to address it.
If Steward is discontinued, we will provide reasonable notice and an opportunity to obtain available records where practicable, subject to legal, privacy, and security requirements.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither Field Runtime nor you will be liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from Steward. To the extent permitted by law, Field Runtime's aggregate liability relating to Steward will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid Field Runtime for Steward during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
These limitations do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that applicable law does not permit a party to limit. They do not restrict non-waivable consumer, privacy, or health-data rights.
14. Governing law and disputes
Washington law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise. Subject to any non-waivable right to bring a claim elsewhere, state and federal courts located in King County, Washington will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or Steward.
Contact support@fieldruntime.ai first if you would like us to try to resolve a concern. Doing so is not a condition on exercising a legal right, contacting a regulator, or meeting a filing deadline.
These Terms do not require private arbitration, waive class proceedings, or prevent you from using an available court or regulator.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Steward changes. We will provide appropriate notice of material changes and obtain new acceptance where required. Changes do not retroactively alter accrued rights or authorize a new charge without agreement.
16. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision is not a permanent waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale of the service, subject to applicable law.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, and any applicable purchase or feature-specific terms constitute the agreement governing your use of Steward.
